Memorial Day weekend message

I will be away from a computer until Tuesday, therefore I will not be able to post daily hearts :(  I promise to post one for each day when I return.

Have a wonderful weekend! xo

Day 27 ~ Rest your head here

After two days of being unable to create my daily heart, it felt great to make today's installment. I think I'll take a nap now...

Day 2 ~ Safety pins

Today I awoke to find a beautiful heart made out of sequins by my good friend Steve in my inbox. It inspired me to work with something shiny.

Here is the beautiful heart Steve sent to me. You see why I had to put mine first... this one could outshine a diamonds :) Thank you Steve!

Day 19 ~ Doodle

Today's heart is a simple line drawing of and angel. I think it needs some color, collage, more lines, something, but I couldn't decide what... maybe the inspiration will come after I attend my friend's art opening tonight.

Day 17 ~ "i carry your heart with me..."

I've enjoyed having specific challenges imposed upon how or where or with what I create my daily heart. The first time I set such a challenge it was location specific and the very next day the challenge was specific to the medium . So today I decided to set for the challenge of creating a heart using only what I could currently find in my office at work using the PC I have at work to upload the image (meaning I am without photoshop to assist in touching up the image or resizing it). Thankfully I have a scanner that gives me the option to select the image size otherwise you'd be stuck with a HUGE pdf.

A poem by e. e. cummings typed into the shape of a heart. The important parts have been highlighted with a highlighter pen.

Day 16 ~ Experiments in Watercolor

Today I was inspired to try a new medium when I saw Becky's beautiful geekheart for yesterday.
After a few failed attempts, I am now posting my final attempt, just under the wire (or a minute over actually).

Day 15 ~ Hearts Everywhere

Today I knew I would be out all day so I decided that I would find today's heart in the environment. I was in Newark, NJ at a convention and thought surely I'd have no problem finding hearts. I've been told that when you do this project you start seeing your shape/object everywhere. Well it being only my15th day doing this, I have not started to see hearts everywhere. That is until today.

After spending the entire day at the convention looking for today's heart to no avail, I started to seeing all kinds of hearts on the walk to the train home!

Day 13 ~ Coincidence? I think not.

One day last week I went to work, and as I was leaving the house I realized that I wasn't wearing a necklace. I looked at over at the area I keep my necklaces and decided not to wear one, which really never happens. When I got to work I stopped in to see a friend. She handed a box to me explaining that she got this gift for me a while back, but kept forgetting to give it to me, and how she couldn't tell me how cheap it was. I opened the box to find this amazing heart shaped necklace. I thanked her repeatedly and told her that the cost was of no importance, that I absolutely loved it.
There are two amazing things about this gift. First, my friend doesn't know about my heart a day project. And second, it matched my outfit perfectly! I immediately put it on and proceeded to receive compliments on my beautiful necklace the rest of the day.
