Flip Book pages

My dear friend Steve in Oregon organized a really fun project where he invited artist friends to create pages for a collaborative flip book. He sent out templates so we could each design a head and body that could be interchanged with other pages. Once everyone submitted their pages, Steve created bound books. We didn't get to see each others pages until we received the book in the mail. It was quite amazing how well the pages all went together. Here are the pages I created. I used old fashion magazines and images of wallpaper. The hearts are hand drawn.

Love is greater than Money!

Look at the cool patch I made for my etsy shop...

I made another patch too. This one was made especially for Valentine's Day. It got almost 300 views in one day, and sold before the day was out...

More Hearts Please!

Along my heart art journey I met a fellow traveler who was also creating a heart a day. We liked to say we were partners in heart art crime :)

She just posted to her blog that she will be creating a heart a day for the entire month of February 2015! Take a look at her amazing work, and follow her heart a day journey in February here:

Isn't it funny how after all this time we both revisit our heart art blogs right around the same time... As they say, great minds think alike.

New Year, New Heart

I've recently taken up embroidery, and yesterday I created a heart diagram! Of course I had to share it with my Heart A Day blog. Who knows, maybe this is the first of many more hearts...

New Message from the Heart Desk

Today, those of you who subscribed to A Heart A Day, may have received an email about from this blog that appeared to be a new post. This was an error. Yesterday as I was going through older posts I accidentally reposted the heart from day 290.  Before I realized my error to my surprise I started to received messages of excitement at the return of A Heart A Day. This got me thinking, perhaps it's about time that I took up where I left off and starting making hearts again. This may need to be my New Year's resolution. Stay tuned....

Day 309 ~ Heart of Ice

Stopped at a diner on the way home from seeing Ghost Rider 2 (which was great by the way).  Had the worst apple pie ever, with the best date ever!

A note from the heart desk

It is now midnight and I have a choice, rush something and throw it up, or go to bed and promise to post two hearts tomorrow.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Day 297 ~ Scrabble redux

This beautiful custom made scrabble game arrived in the mail today. My aunt Marcia and my dear friend Chloe spent many hours around this revolving board. I can't wait to play with my sister on Sister Vacation 2012.

Today's heart was found in the window of my favorite bakery on St. Marks Place. I always stop in when I am in the neighborhood.

Day 286 ~ Doodle while I work...

Hashing out the room schedule for the next Occupy Town Square has kept me very busy tonight. But not so busy that I didn't find time (or space on the schedule) to make a heart appear

Pencil on room schedule spreadsheet.
